ICE-In Case of Emergency
Everybody with a cell phone should have the entry ICE in their address book. It stands for "In Case of Emergency" and the number it automatically dials should be person who should be notified if the cell phone owner needs assistance.
If it's your child's cell phone, it's usually a parent. If it's your cell phone, maybe your spouse or significant other.
It's becoming routine for emergency response personnel (police, emt, fire fighters) to check for this entry first when responding.
